Who We Are?

When I started working on wind power in 2007, it was only a small installation in Europe and North America, and it was just beginning to take off in China. At that time, wind power was just a concept in popular science propaganda, both in terms of the proportion of electricity consumption structure and the familiarity of the public. Now, just 15 years later, as I travel across the vast expanse of China, the towering white wind turbines are everywhere, and people are no longer surprised by them. In the past 20 years, it's the peak of global wind power development and a critical period of energy structure transformation, people's ideas are changing. It is clear that this wave of development has not stopped and will continue to gallop forward.

15 years ago, the single-unit capacity of wind power was 1.5MW-2MW. Today, the average newly installed single-unit capacity of onshore wind power has exceeded 5MW, while the main capacity of offshore wind power is 6MW-8MW, and the larger 10+MW has also entered the verification stage. For the windfarm owners and turbine manufacturers around the world, they all hope to use the equipment and components representing higher technical level and lower KWh cost in their windfarms or wind turbines. What is more difficult is that due to the geographical concentration of the global wind power supply chain is relatively wide, limited professional and technical personnel and other objective reasons, many windfarm owners are not exactly able to find their own wind turbines, and some turbine manufacturers far away from the supply center lack of information and means to find more suitable components with better prices. These factors limit the global promotion and development of wind power generation.

Moreover, while thousands of wind turbines are being installed around the world, many are in fact far from where they were born. For many windfarm owners, especially small and medium-sized owners, how to find suitable spare parts in the huge wind power supply chain market to ensure the stable operation of the wind turbine has become the biggest challenge during the 20-25 year life cycle of the wind turbine.

Based on these factors, I sought out friends who had been in the wind industry for 10 or even 20 years. They included former market developers, procurement engineers familiar with the global wind supply chain, senior wind turbine design engineers, and so on. Together, we set up the WSCN platform, hoping to provide a series of services from complete machine technology to component procurement, from component consulting to spare parts procurement for all organizations and personnel in the wind power industry.
